Police stop alleged drunk driver after seeing him on cell phone

BROCTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – A man deputies say drove through the Village of Brocton while using his cell phone was arrested on drunk driving charges.

Authorities stopped Nicholas Ferrara on Old Mill Road around 9 p.m. on Friday after allegedly seeing him using his cell phone. Deputies say the 49-year-old Frewsburg man was intoxicated.

Ferrara refused a breath test and was placed under arrested for DWI and operating a vehicle using a cell phone.
