BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Food trucks are expected to be allowed to be in downtown Buffalo by First Niagara Center for the NCAA tournament this week.

Mayor Byron Brown wrote to Buffalo Place to request that food trucks be granted special permits to be near the arena as long as they still comply with the “100 foot rule” that bars them from being too close to brick-and-mortar restaurants.

Buffalo Place has the authority to grant permission, and though it hasn’t been made official yet, it is expected the special permits will be granted.
