ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Mercy Flight helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing on Wednesday after the pilot felt some vibrations in the aircraft.

The helicopter was on its way to a hospital transfer call and landed at a golf course in Orchard Park as a precaution. There were no patients on board at the time and another helicopter was dispatched to complete the hospital transfer call.

The chopper was flown back to its Buffalo headquarters with no issues and mechanics are checking it out to make sure everything is okay. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
