Villanova holds off Milwaukee

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – It wasn’t always pretty, but Villanova got the job done Thursday night, topping 15-seed Milwaukee 73-53.

The Wildcats led by just four at the half. They missed their first 16 three point shots, before finally connecting in the second half.

Darrun Hilliard II paced Villanova with 16 points. They advance to take on UConn Saturday at First Niagara Center. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
