Moats signs with Steelers

PITTSBURGH (WIVB) – Former Bills linebacker Arthur Moats signed a one-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers Monday.

Moats, who registered a career-high 54 tackles last season, spent the first four years of his career in Buffalo. His playing time on defense started to dwindle late in the season. The Bills signed a pair of linebackers early in free agency, bringing in Keith Rivers and Brandon Spikes, leaving Moats searching for a new team.

He was the team’s Walter Payton Man of the Year award recipient in 2013 for his off-the-field work. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
