Seven in Buffalo, Lackawanna accused of drug trafficking

LACKAWANNA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Seven people were arrested in Lackawanna and Buffalo after a federal investigation into narcotics trafficking.

The FBI working with Lackawanna Police Narcotics Unit say the seven suspects were trafficking crack and powder cocaine and prescription medication between Buffalo and Lackawanna. The suspects were arrested in raids on March 6, where officers also recovered drugs, a handgun and $96,000 in cash.

The following people are facing drug trafficking charges:

  • Morrell Buster, 41, of Elmer Street in Buffalo
  • Troy Colley, 52, of Dartmouth Street in Buffalo
  • William Jefferson, 44, of Clinton Street in Lackawanna
  • Anthony McCutcheon, 48, of East Amherst Street in Buffalo
  • Andre Owens, 49, of Odell Street in Lackawanna
  • Carmella Rivera, 54, of Fillmore Avenue in Buffalo
  • Deandre Sparks, 22, of Clinton Street in Lackawanna

All of the suspects face between five and 10 years in prison if convicted.
