CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Some local veterans are back home after a visit to Vietnam

It was the first time the group of six men had been back to that country since the war. The Patriot Guard Riders were on hand to greet the veterans Monday night as they touched down at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport.

Veteran Tony Peters said, “But really, going back to so many areas that we were in combat in was… some places hurt. Obviously, tears and joy sort of a deal. But for the whole, it was just a fantastic visit.”

A group called Vietnam Battlefield Tours put the trip together.
