Woman who called police about unwelcome guest ends up getting arrested

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) – An East Amherst woman angry over an unwelcome guest in her home was taken into custody after responding officers say they found drugs in plain sight.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Transit Road home in the Town of Clarence around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday after receiving a call about an unwelcome guest. Deputies say when they arrived, they could see heroin and drug paraphernalia from the doorway.

The woman who made the call, 40-year-old Robyn Kurzel, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, and possessing a controlled substance outside the original container.

A man at Kurzel’s home, 48-year-old Patrick Lee of Williamswillve, was arrested after deputies found he is wanted on a warrant out of City of Buffalo Court.
