BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo man admits attacking a man last summer on Phyllis Avenue. Reginald Pierce, 56, pleaded guilty to second-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

The Erie County District Attorney’s Office says Pierce attacked 65-year-old William Boyd, the same man he attacked in 2010 at Tops Supermarket.

The DA’s office reports Pierce was across the street from Boyd and said to him, “I took your one eye already, I’m going to take your other one next.”

Pierce allegedly went inside his girlfriend’s home and waited until Boyd’s back was turned before he struck him with a three-foot club. The assault resulted in emergency treatment and eventual surgery.

Pierce faces up to seven years behind bars when he is sentenced in June.
