Eight fallen WNY police officers honored

DUNKIRK, N.Y. (WIVB) – Fallen police officers were remembered on the southern tier Thursday night at a ceremony in Dunkirk.

Eight signs from the Badge of Honor Association were dedicated to officers who were killed in the line of duty. Dunkirk was chosen to be the location for the ceremony because they’ve had three officers killed.

The Badge of Honor Association is in middle of a two-month effort that will honor 75 fallen officers from Western and Central New York.
