Intern accused of stealing State Assembly attorney’s cell phone

ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) – An intern working for a State Assemblyman in Albany was arrested Thursday on charges she stole a belonging to an attorney employed by the State Assembly.

Shanika Forbes, 22, of Albany is charged with petit larceny and fifth degree criminal possession of stolen property. Forbes works part-time as an intern for a member of the State Assembly.

She is accused of stealing a cell phone belonging to an attorney that works for the State Assembly. She was issued appearance tickets and is due back in court on Friday.
