Trooper: 47.5 grams of pot in backpack


HAMBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – A trooper reports finding more than 47 grams of marijuana in the back seat of a car. New York State Police say they stopped a driver, 19-year-old Christopher Colin, of Hamburg, for having a suspended registration. Police say they detected the smell of marijuana from inside the car.

Police say Colin admitted having marijuana in a backpack in his back seat. Police say there was 47.5 grams of marijuana and a digital scale in the bag.

Colin was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of marijuana and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
