Man accused of breaking into 2 mobile homes may have burglarized others

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Authorities say they have caught the man who broke into at least two mobile homes in a Cheektowaga trailer park earlier this month.

A home on Harmony Lane was broken into on March 9 and a TV was stolen. And on March 24, a home on Tammy Lane was broken into and cash and jewelry worth $1,500 was taken.

Detectives connected both crimes to 20-year-old Nathan Moore of Cheektowaga, who was arrested during a traffic stop on Monday. Inside his vehicle, officers say they found heroin and several hypodermic needles.

Cheektowaga Police believe Moore may be responsible for three other burglaries in the area.

He is being held in the Erie County Holding Center on several charges, including two counts of burglary, grand larceny, criminal mischief, criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument.
