SPRINGVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Deputies say a man physically attacked the owners of a store in Springville while angry over property he demanded be returned to him.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office was called to Village Optical on West Main Street around 3 p.m. on Thursday after a man allegedly attacked the male and female owners of the store.

Authorities say 23-year-old Patrick Brown of Clarence demanded they return property of his and refused to leave the store after becoming verbally abusive. He then allegedly struck the owners.

Deputies placed Brown under arrest on charges of two counts of second degree harassment and trespassing.

He is due back in court at a later date. The store owners did not appear to be injured. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
