Sabres close out road trip with ugly loss

NASHVILLE (WIVB) – The Sabres gave up four goals in the first period, as Nashville cruised to a 6-1 Thursday night.

Buffalo goalie Matt Hackett allowed four goals on 15 shots in the first period, before getting pulled in favor of Nathan Lieuwen.

Shea Weber scored twice, while Colton Sissons and Calle Jarnkrok each scored the first goal of their careers.

Sabres rookie Rasmus Ristolainen, called up earlier in the day, scored the only goal for Buffalo.
