Student wins youth achievement award

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) – News 4 wants to recognize high school junior Courtney Russell from Kenmore East High School. She won the Zak Hollis Youth Achievement Award for 2014 from the National Tourette Syndrome Association.

Award winners are picked on character, academics and volunteer work. Courtney spent time speaking to classmates of children with tourettes syndrome and created a support group. She also volunteers at various TSA activities.
