Lockport teens charged in home invasion

LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) –  Lockport Police responded to a home invasion robbery on Lock Street in Lockport around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Authorities report that group of suspects kicked in the door of the home. The suspects had a pistol and stole a laptop computer, video games and other property.  It was later discovered that the pistol was an air soft pellet gun.

When police arrived, the suspects were taken into custody as they tried to run out the front door of the home.  Two did manage to run from the scene but were quickly tracked down by a Lewiston Police K-9 unit.

Nineteen year-old Maria Parete and two 16 year-old males were each charged with one count of robbery 1st Degree in the first degree.

Parete was also charged with possession of a controlled substance for a number of prescription pills she had that were not prescribed to her.  Further charges may be pending.
