OLEAN, N.Y. (WIVB) – An Olean woman was arrested last week on charges she bilked Medicaid out of more than $38,000 over a nearly five-year period.

Kelley Hendryx was taken into custody last Tuesday on a warrant issued by Olean City Court for third degree welfare fraud, third degree grand larceny and four counts of first degree offering a false instrument for filing.

The sheriff’s office say the 49-year-old woman failed to report her husband’s income between August 2008 and March 2013, enabling her to collect more than $38,000 in Medicaid benefits she was not entitled to.
