Genesee Co. lawmakers go paperless

Genesee County legislators are switching from paper to iPads.

The Batavian reports that each member of the Genesee County Legislature was given a shiny new iPad Air on Monday.

The county spends a reported $35,000 a year on printing agendas and other material for the Legislature.

They think it is forward thinking to spend the money on the iPads and eliminate the paper.  The legislature goes through more than 1,000 cartons of paper a year. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
