BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – It took nine shootout rounds, but the Sabres finally picked up a win Tuesday night, topping New Jersey 3-2.

Ville Leino, who has now played 53 games this season without a goal, found the net in the ninth round of the shootout. Lieuwen made that advantage stick, picking up his first career NHL victory in the process.

Lieuwen made 33 saves in the win. Tyler Ennis scored a pair of goals, giving him 21 on the season.

The Sabres now hit the road to take on Ryan Miller and the St. Louis Blues Thursday night at 8pm.
