No Drones Niagara to protest new mission

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – In Niagara Falls, people will be protesting the start of a new mission at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station. No Drones Niagara will hold a protest and vigil outside the base’s main gate at 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Personnel at the airbase will begin flying military drones Tuesday via remote control.

Leaders of the Niagara Military Affairs Council have lobbied to expand the base’s mission and prevent its closure. They have said they want actual drones based at Niagara.
