Ohio Street being transformed to connect Buffalo’s harbors

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The plan to transform a stretch of Ohio Street in Buffalo into a tree-lined parkway is officially underway.

Tuesday, Mayor Byron Brown and Congressman Brian Higgins were on hand to kick-off the multi-million dollar project, which will link the inner harbor to the outer harbor by the end of this year.

The project will also create walking and bicycle paths and is expected to cost an estimated $11 million.
