State leaders pass $140 billion fiscal plan

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It came down to the wire, but New York legislators have agreed to a new budget. The New York State Senate passed the $140 billion fiscal plan around 10:30 p.m. and the Assembly followed suit about 45 minutes later.

The budget expands pre-kindergarten statewide and is said to provide tax relief to homeowners and corporations. This marks the fourth consecutive on-time budget by lawmakers.
