Driver accused of DWI, traveling wrong way

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Police say a drunk driver was stopped after traveling the wrong way on Transit Road, in Clarence. Police say they stopped 50-year-old Frank G. Frainier, of Middleport, at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say they saw Frainier’s vehicle make a left turn from Main Street onto Transit Road in the wrong direction. Police put on emergency lighting and saw the vehicle travel over the center median, across lanes and up a curb.

Frainier was arrested for DWI. He is expected to appear in Town of Clarence Court at a later date.
