BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – The crusade to save Catholic schools is marching forward. A rally will be held this Sunday outside the bishop’s mansion on Oakland Place, in Buffalo, from 1 until 3 p.m.

Parents have been fighting to save several of the ten schools that are marked for closure at the end of the academic year.

The diocese says the closings are necessary because of dwindling enrollment and financial reasons. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
