Troopers seek knife wielding armed robber

LEWISTON, N.Y. (WIVB) – State Police are looking for a knife wielding armed robber who held up a convenience store in Lewiston on April Fools’ Day.

Troopers say the thief wasn’t kidding around when he stole cash from the register around 9 p.m. at Gail’s Tobacco and Gas Outlet on Upper Mountain Road.

The suspect is described as a 6’2″ white male weighing around 170 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, grey pants and had a scarf covering his face.
