Albion police officers help two flee burning home

ALBION, N.Y. (WIVB) – Two Albion Police officers helped two residents of a home on Washington Street escape their burning home.

The fire started in the early morning hours of Friday morning.  Firefighters from the Albion Fire Department tell News 4 that the officers already had the two residents out of the house when they arrived on the scene.

The Fire Chief says the blaze was brought under control quickly.  There’s no word on how much damage the fire caused, but at this point the house is uninhabitable.

The fire remains under investigation.
