Deputies: Man being booked tries to destroy pills

GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB) – Deputies say a man arrested for driving on a suspended license attempted to destroy prescription pills on his person while being booked into the Erie County Holding Center.

The Erie County Sheriff’s Office stopped Gregory Swan for equipment violations on Grand Island Boulevard on Grand Island around 8 p.m. on Thursday. The 43-year-old Grand Island man was placed under arrest on charges of third degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle for driving on a suspended license.

Deputies say while he was being booked into the Erie County Holding Center, Swan tried to destroy a couple of prescription pills.
