Lawmakers try to keep SS office open


BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – It’s a place thousands of senior citizens rely on. Now, two lawmakers are asking the Social Security Administration to stop plans to close its Amherst Office.

Senator Charles Schumer and Congressman Brian Higgins are insisting that location remain open. They’re concerned that the Buffalo office can’t handle the additional traffic it would receive.
