CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Cheektowaga man is accused of trying to steal a Nook from a fundraiser Sunday evening. New York State Police say 30-year-old Andrew D. Blotzer was at a Newstead Fire Company spring raffle at Samuels Grand Manor, on Main Street, at the time of the incident.

The acting chief says Blotzer picked up the electronic reader, valued at $189, from the prize table and try to leave. Several people stopped the man.

Police say Blotzer is accused of petit larceny and will appear in Town of Clarence Court at a later date.
