Teen charged with DWI after being stopped for speeding

CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) – A teenager who police say was speeding through Clarence early Sunday morning was also allegedly intoxicated.

State Police stopped 18-year-old Troy Allen of Clarence around 3:10 a.m. for speeding on Main Street. Troopers say he was going 58 MPH in a 40 MPH zone.

Authorities say Allen failed field sobriety tests and a breath test would reveal a .11 percent BAC.

Allen was arrested for DWI and is due back in court at a later date.
