Police: Man wanted on felony warrant gave fake name

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Niagara Falls man was arrested on multiple charges after being pulled over for driving while using a portable electronic device.

State Police stopped Dwayne Handley on Saturday but say the 31-year-old was uncooperative while being asked questioned and provided troopers with a fake name. U.S. Customs came to assist troopers, who identified Handley through fingerprints and determined he is wanted in Niagara County on a violent felony warrant for second degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Handley was placed under arrest and charged with third degree bail jumping, false personation, driving on a suspended license, and several other traffic tickets.

He was taken to the Niagara Falls Jail pending a court appearance.
