Student wins regional wiring competition

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Ryan Niedermeier, a student at Frontier High School, may only be finishing high school but his resume tells a different story.

The honor roll student and varsity baseball player took first place at the Skills USA Electrical Construction Wiring Regional Competition, and will soon be headed off to the state competition.

At regionals, Ryan had to find different electrical codes and do a series of timed wiring tasks. He beat out 17 other students from around western New York to go to states.

This is the second time he has won and gone to states which will be in Syracuse later this month.
