AKRON, N.Y. (WIVB) – Deputies say a man with a prior DWI conviction was again driving drunk, and this time had two 15-year-old children in his vehicle.
The Erie County Sheriff’s Office assisted Village of Akron Police during a traffic stop around 1 a.m. on Thursday. Deputies say they found the driver, 33-year-old Leroy Stafford, Jr. of Bason, to be intoxicated.
Stafford has a prior DWI conviction from November 2004 and he had two 15-year-old children in his vehicle. Deputies say he had a BAC of .13 percent.
He is facing charges of felony DWI, aggravated DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation and endangering the welfare of a child.
Stafford was taken to the Erie County Holding Center, pending arraignment.
