Paladino plans to create “intimidation committee”

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A school board member is putting on the pressure, renewing a call for Superintendent Dr. Pamela Brown to resign. Carl Paladino’s written a letter, accusing the superintendent of lying and adding to the district’s dysfunction.

As a result he said he plans to create an “intimidation committee.” Paladino went on to criticize other board members and administrators, accusing them of belittling and not listening to members of the public who come to speak at the school board meetings.

Board Member Sharon Belton-Cottman responded to Paladino’s remarks by calling him a bully.

Belton- Cottman said, “Since I’ve been sitting on this board, and many of the board members, we continue to be bullied by Mr. Paladino. Today, a letter went out again bullying board members, bullying the superintendent, creating a hostile work environment for employees. What we need to note is that we have spent enough, at this point, in legal fees in regards to Mr. Paladino’s actions to hire a full-time teacher.”

Almost immediately after that, Belton-Cottman responded to News 4’s two-part investigation of Bennett High School. Doctor Brown plans to review disciplinary practices at Bennett.
