BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – There is another sign of progress and convenience for those who like to bicycle to work or school.

Bicycle lockers have been installed at the University and LaSalle Metro stations. Members of GoBike can use them for free as part of the pro cycling group’s membership.

GoBike promotes bicycle transportation around the region and events, such as “Bike to School Day.” The group gives away bicycle helmets to students and schools that participate.

They also back the “Complete Streets Program,” which works with communities to ensure that when a roadway is constructed or repaired in the City of Buffalo, equal consideration is given to commuters of all kinds, including bicyclists, pedestrians, children, people pushing baby strollers and the disabled.
