Accident scene caused back ups on I-190 South

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – There was a three-car crash on I-190 South Friday morning, in Buffalo. Traffic was backed up for more than five miles.

The crash on the busy roadway happened near Exit 9 for the Peace Bridge, and traffic backed up beyond Exit 15, for Sheridan Drive.  Around 8:35 a.m. the crash scene was cleared, and traffic started to return to normal.

There is no word on what caused the crash, or whether anyone was injured.

There was heavy fog downtown Friday morning.
