Four accused of selling drugs in Olean

OLEAN, N.Y. (WIVB) – Four people who were indicted by a Cattaraugus County grand jury for allegedly selling drugs in the City of Olean were taken into custody on Thursday.

Jenna Shoup, 23, of Hinsdale was indicted on charges of fourth degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police say while being taken into custody, they found prescription pills and a hypodermic needle on her person. Shoup was additionally charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.

Nathan Layman, 25, of Olean was indicted on charges of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fourth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Brady Smith, 22, of Olean was indicted on charges of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Stephanie Cossairt, 22, of Olean, who is already incarcerated at the Cattaraugus County Jail for a separate incident, was indicted on two counts of third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
