Four arrested during raids in Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – Four people, including two who are currently on parole, were arrested early Friday morning during four separate raids in the City of Jamestown.

Three of the raids took place in the same apartment house on West 9th Street, where officers say they found heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, cash and drug paraphernalia.

John Carlos Tufino, 21; Wilfredo Hernandez, Jr., 31; and Ashlyann Lopez, 20; were all taken into custody and charged with two counts of third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth degree criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.

Hernandez is currently on parole for a prior conviction of robbery.

Another raid took place in an apartment on Lafayette Street, where officers say they found a loaded semi-automatic pistol. Bryan Willis, 22, of Dunkirk was arrested on charges of second degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Willis is currently on parole for a prior weapons conviction.

All four defendants were taken to the city jail pending arraignment. Police say the investigation continues and additional charges are expected.
