Intersections on N. Falls Blvd get pedestrian update

AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) – Changes are coming to a busy roadway in Amherst and Tonawanda that has a deadly past.

Crews begin installing 18 push buttons at intersections on Niagara Falls Boulevard next week that will give pedestrians a countdown of when the light will change.

That stretch of roadway is notorious for accidents involving pedestrians.

Work is expected to be completed by next fall. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
