Maple West named Blue Ribbon School of Excellence

WILLIAMSVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) – Maple West Elementary in Williamsville has been named a 2013 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

The school will be celebrating the honor during a special assembly Friday morning. Congressman Brian Higgins will attend the celebration and students will perform an original song.

The Blue Ribbon is handed out for academic excellence and student achievement. Maple West is one of just 286 schools across the country to receive the honor.
