BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Mass Mob is hosting a spin off event next month, a Rosary Mob. They will be outside of Saint Ann’s Church and Shrine at the corner of Broadway and Emslie in Buffalo on Saturday, May 10, 2014 starting at 10:00am.

St. Ann’s has not been allowed hold mass right since 2013, so a group of people have been saying the rosary outside of it every Saturday.

Christopher Byrd, Buffalo Mass Mob Co-Founder, said, “Saint Ann’s was originally one of the churches we thought of when organizing the group. Working with the Friends of Saint Ann’s in doing a Rosary Mob will help raise awareness about this incredible church and efforts to save it. This is a great opportunity for the community to come show their support for Saint Ann’s.”

Buffalo Mass Mob uses social media to encourage people to visit specific local churches, in order to bring attention to the beautiful and historic churches in the area that need support.

In March, there was a Mass Mob at St. John Kanty Church in Buffalo’s Polonia neighborhood. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
