Woman who allegedly had BAC 3X over limit flees accident scene

FREWSBURG, N.Y. (WIVB) – A southern tier woman is accused of driving drunk and fleeing the scene of an accident with another motorist.

Deputies were called to the intersection of Ivory Street and Falconer in Frewsburg around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday for a property damage accident involving two vehicles. But by the time authorities arrived, one of the drivers had fled.

Investigators say the public helped them locate the driver, 46-year-old Amy Schulz, who was arrested at her home a short time later.

Schulz allegedly had a BAC of .24 percent, which is three times the legal limit. And because of a 2007 conviction for DWI, she is being charged with a felony.

She is charged with felony DWI, aggravated DWI, DWI per-se, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, failure to yield the right of way, and failure to notify the DMV of an address change.
