Alleged drunk driver accused of having pot, pills

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Police say they could smell alcohol and marijuana from inside a vehicle Sunday during a stop on I-190 in Buffalo.

Police arrested the driver, 28-year-old Christopher J. Kozlowski, who was alone in his vehicle. Police say they found marijuana, smoking pipes, marijuana residue and narcotic pills that he did not have a prescription for inside of his car.

Kozlowski, who police say failed field sobriety tests, allegedly registered a .15 percent BAC. The driver, who is from Cheektowaga, had a previous alcohol-related driving conviction which raised the DWI to a felony charge.

He faces felony DWI, felony aggravated unlicensed operation, drug charges and a speed charge. He will answer charges in City of Buffalo Court later this month. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
