WNY native wins big on ‘The Price Is Right’

LOS ANGELES, CA (WIVB) – Western New York native Lonna Moshier got the call Tuesday to ‘come on down’ on The Price Is Right. She made her friends and family back home and across the country very proud.

After winning the first item up for bid, Moshier made it on stage with host Drew Carey and won $4,000 playing the pricing game ‘It’s in the Bag.’

From there, she spun the big wheel a the Showcase Showdown and won again, advancing to the Showcase. Her bid was $5,680 under the actual retail price but was close enough to make her the grand prize winner of the day. Moshier won a 65″ HDTV, a trip to Boston and a new Nissan Versa.

Moshier grew up in Irving. She was crowned Miss Buffalo in 2012.

She and her husband Aaron recently married and relocated to San Diego, where he is stationed with the Marine Corps.

They will return to Western New York this fall for an official wedding ceremony and reception.
