New pet clinic opens on Niagara St in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A new pet clinic in Buffalo hosted an open house at its facility on Niagara Street Wednesday night.

The West Side Pet Clinic provides low-cost basic care for animals, including from flea treatments to ear cleanings.

Dr. Reed Stevens said, “This is actually the first time there’s ever been a clinic quite like this in the region, Buffalo, Western New York, and as far as I know – the nation. This is a new idea in veterinary care. We compare it to a local health clinic where you might go for urgent care – basic services, limited services, very different than a full-service hospital.”

The new business operates on a walk-in basis with no appointment necessary. Clients will be seen on a first come, first serve basis.

The owners of the clinic say they hope to be a good neighbor helping to revitalize that part of the city. They say for more extensive care, they’ll recommend full service veterinarians.
