NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Niagara Falls man was arrested after police found a weapon belonging to him during a traffic stop.

State Police stopped a vehicle when they noticed the front seat passenger was not wearing a seat belt. The passenger, Guillermo Martinez, was said to be acting nervously.

Troopers say they spotted a collapsible baton in the glove box, and the 35-year-old admitted it belonged to him.

Martinez, who is on parole for third degree burglary, was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon and is due back in court at a later date.
