Thousands go to Broadway Market for Easter favorites

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Thousands of western New Yorkers are in the heart of historic Polonia for Good Friday at the Broadway Market. The doors opened at 6 a.m. Friday and a crowd filed right through the doors.

Generations of western New Yorkers flock to 999 Broadway every Easter season to fill up on Polish sausage, pierogi, horseradish, delicious baked goods and much more.

The market is a chance for local businesses to shine. Weber’s mustard actually started at the market in 1922, and the last four or five years they have revisited the market to highlight their items.

The Erie County Executive began a new Easter tradition at the Broadway Market when he “pardoned” a butter lamb on Wednesday.
