Elmwood Village begins Spring Clean Up Week

 

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - After a long winter, you can help brighten up the Elmwood Village. Spring Clean Up Week starts Monday.

The clean up used to only be a day, but this year, the Elmwood Village Association decided to expand it. Anyone is welcome to help out.

Monday’s focus will be Elmwood Avenue, between Iroquois Drive and Bird Avenue. Volunteers will meet at 4 p.m. at the Village Association Office.

Participants can go to a happy hour at Mr. Goodbar afterwards.

Schedule from Elmwood Village Association:

Monday, April 21st- Clean up Elmwood Avenue between Iroquois Drive and Bird Avenue from 4:00-6:00p.m. with a community happy hour to follow at Mr. Goodbar from 6:00-7:00pm. Meet at the Elmwood Village Association Office at 4:00pm.

Tuesday, April 22nd- Clean up Elmwood Avenue between Bird Avenue and Delevan Avenue from 5:30-7:00p.m. with a community happy hour to follow at Caffe Aroma from 7:00-8:00pm. Meet at Elmwood and Potomac Ave at 5:30pm.

Wednesday, April 23rd- Clean up Elmwood Avenue between Summer St and Allen St on from 4:00-5:30p.m. with a community happy hour to follow at Savoy from 5:30-7:00pm. Meet at Elmwood Ave and North St at 4:00pm.

Thursday, April 24th- Clean up Elmwood Avenue between W. Ferry St. and Lexington Avenue (including Lexington Avenue between Elmwood and Ashland) from 2:00-4:00p.m. with a community happy hour to follow at Joe’s Deli from 4:00-5:00pm. Meet at Elmwood Ave and Highland Ave at 2:00pm.

Friday, April 25th- Clean up Elmwood Avenue between Delevan Avenue and W. Ferry Street on from 5:30-7:00p.m. with a community happy hour to follow at Agave from 7:00-8:00pm. Meet at Lafayette and Elmwood Ave at 5:30pm.

Saturday, April 26th- Clean up Elmwood Avenue between Lexington Ave and Summer Street on from 9:30-11:30am with a community happy hour to follow at Thirsty Buffalo. Meet at Elmwood Ave and Anderson Pl at 9:30am.
