Girls get chance to pick out a prom dress

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Some local girls will go to prom thanks to some generous Western New Yorkers.

News 4’s annual “Gowns 4 Prom” dress distribution began Monday at Shea’s Performing Arts Center. Local high school girls are choosing from hundreds of donated dresses for their big night.

Colvin Cleaners owner and president Paul Billoni said, “The gowns are fitted, then sown, brought back to Colvin Cleaners. They’re cleaned, packaged, and then delivered to the girls before their prom. They look brand new.”

Distribution continues Tuesday and Wednesday at Shea’s. For more information, follow this link.
